Scottish Power complaint

Sixth Anniversary First Post Combo Breaker
I have seen many complaints about Scottish Power on this site as well as others..... I have a simple question...

Has anyone found some way to actually resolve a complaint with them?

My complaint involves several issues:

Unpaid FIT payments
Government vouchers not applied
Incorrect bill - debt carried over from previous occupant and not re calculated

I have spent over 14 hours on the phone (that I can log
I have spent hours waiting for an engineer to change the meter who didn't turn up
I cannot resolve the complaint as they say all the right things and then nothing happens!

I am at my wits end - if you have had any joy in resolving your complaint, please give me some hope

Thanks

Sue

Have you tried going thorugh Resolver?  I'm still trying to sort out my issue with Scottish Power, but do at least seem to be maybe getting somewhere ...  That said Scottish Power really do seem to be an absolute s***show in terms of customer service.

Deep seated hatred of Scottish Power and all who sail in her - would love to see Ofgem grow a pair and actually do something about it.

I really do wish they were forced to rebrand.

My elderly parents would not hear of switching away from them in later years - after issues that took months to resolve.

Companies like "British" Airways and "Scottish" Power are not UK firms anymore - SP 100% Spanish owned iirc since c2006.

    Their names should reflect it.

    But seriously.

Are you in a formal complaint state - not just a customer service chat, fix, fix fails or simply doesn't happen  loop etc

If so and been for 8 weeks, or have a deadlock letter saying they disagree rejecting your complaint  - then escalate to Energy Ombudsman.

Their not brilliant in some cases - but can help resolve - as they can tell suppliers to do the right thing.

Have you raised a formal complaint, rather than just phoning them to complain, and when did you do that? If it is more than eight weeks ago then you can take them to the ombudsman.

Nominally you have three separate complaints, but you can probably have them all handled together. Just for clarity, you say you have not been paid FIT payments and that you have not had vouchers, having a solar installation but on a pre-payment meter is very unusual, whilst I guess it could be technically possible with a smart pre-payment meter it would surprise me, is that the system you have?
