Octopus Energy Bill

    So why not only with Octopus do we see so many people get in a mess with their energy account ? 

    So do other companies produce a bill if a manual reading is input ? If so wouldn't that be the best idea for everyone ? Instead of getting a bill every 6 months or so

    That is down to the supplier with due regard to what it states in its Supply Licence:


    Not all suppliers use the high technology billing platform produced by Kraken Technologies (part of the Octopus Energy Group). Personally, I struggle to see how anyone can have problems with Octopus’ statements - and this includes those of us who are billed on 30 minute usage as opposed to meter index readings.

    I always read my meter on the first of the month, and Octopus send me the account around the 4th of the month, this has not happened for April, is there an accounts delay because of the new tarriffs?

    For consumers on some of Octopus’ time-of- use tariffs billing is based on 30 minute usage not meter index readings. For these tariffs, Octopus produces a daily cost breakdown.
