Composite door window leaking!

Small amounts of water are coming through the bottom of the beading on the inside of a window on my door after showery rain.
Should i go to the company first who fitted it or try to use some silicone on the outside.

Enjoy everyday like it's your last!

It depends how new it is. If it is still in warranty, then call the installer. If not, I would not add silicone; it would be better to remove the glazing and see if there is a fault that can be identified. It might be that the seal has been damaged, and needs replacing. You shouldn't need to put silicone on the outside.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

  • We had a similar issue but it had only been installed 1 week. The installer came back out in behalf of the supplier and removed the window before reinstalling it with a bead of silicone around the outside face edge. We've had no issues since in 18 months.
