App that shows smart meter read - not usage history but actual meter reading in real time ??
I look after the energy bills for an elderley relative, they have SMETS1 meters and are with Octopus Energy.
Is there an app that shows the real time meter reading? I have Bright for my own gas/elec and although it has all sorts of data for comparison I can't see the actual real time meter read, same for the Octopus webiste and app.
Does anyone know of any iOS apps that will show the real time (or close to it) meter read?

Thanks, there's no IHD either unfortunately - the meters were British gas and we switched to Octopus upon moving in (there was no IHD upon moving in either). Octopus said they're unable to supply an IHD for these older meters.[Deleted User] said:The readings shown on the IHD are the TOTAL of all 4 registers that have been used since the meter was first installed.
Sorry, not sure I follow what's meant by this? Please could you explain in simpler terms?0 -

Thanks, I understood that part - it was the total of all 4 registers that I was unsure about

The owl, it uses a clip on ct clamp on the cable. It's not an online device but would let her see it, And if you install a webcam pointed at it you could also see it, And also check in on her with 2 way intercom.

looks like you may have to use ebay.

EDIT.
This seems to be the cloud based thing you wanted.

I have had smart meters for 4 years. During this time I have been on single and dual rate tariffs. I am currently on a single register 3 period tariff billed against usage not index readings. When I look at my IHD, it shows a electricity meter reading of 03182 but when I look at the tariff block menu on the actual meter it shows a R1 reading of 00486 and a R2 reading of 02696.It gets even more complicated. When Octopus carries out a manual data pull to recover missing data, it is usually linked to an opening and closing index reading (my normal bills don’t show index readings). The reading shown on the bill is that from the R2 register.1 -
Why not just show all 4 registers and a total?0
