Plasterboarding old fireplace alcove

We’ve had our gas fire removed and the chimney is capped off below the roof tiles. I want to board inside the old fireplace alcove and then we’ll paint/tile it in future. I was just going to fit battens and then use standard p/b but is there any advantage to use p/b with a foil back with tape or including any insulation? There’s no noticeable draft coming down the flue and the fireplace is on an internal wall.

If the chimney is capped off then standard plasterboard will be fine. If you are worried you can always stuff behind the plasterboard with roof insulation as it won't hurt anything1
