Open an outlook.com account but want my hotmail.co.uk email to go to new account

Please can you help with the above  as need an email from Hotmail account to go  to outlook .com account

done that put my Hotmail. co UK  in to forwarding in my outlook.com but not get anything 

As my hot mail account in total capacity?
Even wen I try sending a test to my Hotmail from my Gmail account thus my reason to open outlook.com account

Put your outlook.com in your hotmail.co.uk as forward to , the clue is in forwarding not pulling.

If you are saying your Hotmail account has a full mailbox, then nothing will be forwarded because nothing new is actually getting into the mailbox.  Try deleting emails from Hotmail and then trying the forwarding exercise again.
