Car tax
I received my car tax renewal (V11), which says to renew for 12 months in one payment will cost £165. But when I go online to renew, the government website says I must pay £180. I'm guessing the difference is because of the price increase on April 1. But does this mean if I pay over the counter at a Post Office I need only pay £165? Help!

Hopefully someone can come up with a year when they didn't go up, I can't remember one. No doubt "They" will cheer us up by pointing out that 9.1% is below what they claim inflation to be since last April (but well above what they claim it is now). They print the V11s well before the budget so they know they will be wrong.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
