    Being a housing association they presumably have other properties for remtal. There might not be any vacant at the moment but they will come up and dependent on local arrangements you might be eligible to apply for other HAs properties,. Ideally they should not be caring for people with complex needs in unsuitable premises and you should make an issue of this. It is not a reflection on those being cared for and staff on shifts can walk away after so many hours whereas you have it 24/7 at times.

    This is a very sad tale but OP, you must put your own health first - what you have suffered is a very big deal, and insufficient sleep is for you an enduring risk. If there is a silver lining it's that from what you describe, your HA is not unsympathetic to those in need (inc those with LDs requiring respite care).
    No man is worth crawling on this earth.
