Thank you for your advice. Original notice was left with retailer (staff member) with driver name, unsure which name retailer used to cancel. Another notice was received from parking Co. In drivers name after original handed in to retailer as requested by keeper. Should the driver now appeal/ communicate?

    That's really difficult to understand.

What's the 'original notice' that was left with the retailer?
Surely you retained the 'original notice' and passed a copy to the retailer?
You gave the retailer the driver's name, is that right?
It appears that the retailer has passed the driver's details to the parking company and a PCN has now been sent to the driver.

I really can't understand why you shoved the driver into the firing line. That probably wasn't a good idea.

The keeper had asked for pcn to be sent to driver to buy more time. This was done before original pcn was left with the retailer and drivers name was written on the envelope. Not sure what name retailer gave but car reg. and pcn ref. number are same. On the website when searching it's reg and ref no. Entered.

Buy more time for what?  There's been no time 'bought' for the driver, instead you've thrown him/her under the PE juggernaut.

If the driver has now received a PCN in their own name, then if the PE website is still showing the charge as current, he/she needs to visit the retailer to get the charge cancelled. Give it a couple of more days to see if PE have received the first cancellation and to allow time for them to have the opportunity to deal with it.

I'm the driver and to buy more time, was to allow time to get advice on this forum and to allow retailer time to cancel as manger was away on holiday. Still not showing cancelled on PE website. Details appear under same car reg. and PCN ref. Not sure if retailer will help anymore. I'm thinking whether to contact PE and ask if PCN been cancelled?

So you received a Notice to Keeper (you) in your name, then you wrote to PE (as the keeper) to name yourself as the driver?

Have you, then, given any thought to what your defence will be if/when the N1 claim form drops through your letterbox?

    The court claim.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
