Has anyone used the griddle that fits directly onto the gas hob? If so what do you use it for

I used ours a couple of times but found it a faff to wash up, and instead use a frying pan or griddle pan that go in the dishwasher1

The plus point with pans is you can make a sauce while meat is resting, do not think you can do that with griddle attachment.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke1

I donl' like sauce with my steak so that problem doesn't arise.0 -
I have a cast iron skillet smooth one one side, ribbed on the other. Use it like a bbq for meat, fish, veg such as peppers, courgettes, aubergines.
Smooth side is good for full English if you want fried eggs. Also use it for pancakes, French or American and quesadillas are excellent done on it.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
I 'inherited' a Rangemaster with the house and just found the griddle packed neatly away at the back of a cupboard 🤪greyteam1959 said:I have had a Rangemaster with a gas griddle.

I also inherited a Rangemaster when we moved here 2 years ago. No griddle found lurking anywhere so I bought one. Used it once then reverted to my small trusty Ken Hom griddle pan so it was a waste of money😊.lookstraightahead said:

Never used it in 26 years !!Off topic but I must say I’m disappointed with the tiny fixed grill, difficult access to the main oven & lack of glass door on the small oven which I use most.
It looks impressive but to me it’s ‘style over substance’ & I wouldn’t buy one.0
