How do I remove Skype from my PC ?
It came as part of Office 2019 pro plus - that I installed from a download upgrade from 2016 !
It doesn't allow me to "break it down to bare components" in program list
is there a 3rd party utility to help because according to MS - It can't be removed

Skype for business and Windows 10 pro........
And it is certainly NOT Office 365 - I prefer to have full control of my files (not on-line)
It does come from Office pro plus 2019 (click to run) - but I can't figure out how to remove any part of the installation - it appears to be "ALL OR NOTHING"
Strangely -  Although I do have Office 2019 installed - only Office 2016 shows on the program list !!
I may have upgraded from 2016 to 2019 rather than uninstalling 2016 first

You can have multiple copies of Office on the same machine.in certain circumstances; however as a general rule from 2013 onwards if Office was installed via the website, it can't co-exist with a newer copy.

Skype for Business is part of Office.  If it doesn't show up in the Add/Remove programs then it can't be removed.

Easiest solution is just turn it off from auto running with the computer - out of sight, out of mind.

I wonder if it has somehow got orphaned from the installation at some point, with upgrades and changes, especially as it is now depreciated. Does it show on add/remove programs as a sub component of Office, or on there but in the hidden Windows components section?

Failing that you could manually remove the files and edit the registry yourself, but it may exist due to dependencies within Office itself.

does running the office installer give you a 'custom' option as it is from there that you customise which components of office are installed and removed ?

No - the only install/uninstall option with Office - is OFFICE itself !
I think that it is something to do with permissions (I keep being told that I lack permissions to do stuff...) It thinks that I am on a network

I use Revo uninstaller and I've removed most if not all the junk I don't want on my desktop PC's.
I would uninstall office and if you really want office suite reinstall it but look out for it adding third party software as an add on, you might be able to tick a box to stop the installation of third party software, if not, then you could either use the method I use or go into the settings on windows and choose to uninstall software and uninstall it in the uninstall programs.
Someone please tell me what money is
