While it can be annoying for a tenant it can sometimes be very very important letters.
We rent a property and 5 years after owning it a Letter finally arrived demanding Ground rent addressed to the Occupier
Has we not had brilliant tenants who contacted us we could have faced a large legal bill and our tenants could have been evicted1 -
I can't imagine his postman is thrilled either.Grizebeck said:1 -
As a tenant, I wouldn't have been too grumpy about receiving Landlords mail as long as it was clear that they weren't using it as a place to "launder" their mail (i.e. letters from mortgage companies etc.).dimbo61 said:While it can be annoying for a tenant it can sometimes be very very important letters.

As an owner, however, the previous owners had forwarding on for 6 months. They've clearly done absolutely nothing about the mail that was being forwarded. And as one of them appears to be having some financial difficulties, we're getting letters from DWP, Courts, Bailiffs and all sorts as well as all their nonsense mail like Pets at Home, Specsavers and so on.
Yes, we'll pop it back in the postbox, but our postbox is outside the property and we're getting about 10 letters a day. Because we're almost entirely electronic, we probably get 2 letters a week for ourselves.
