As I am progressing with my timber garage improvements, I came across this inner lining material, I looked around all DIY stores but unable to find this material . Its seems to have 2 layers and some fibre like material inside. also may be some bituminous coating to stick fibre and 2 layers together. Can anyone help me what material it is and better if point to somewhere I can get this. Looks like its there to absorb any water leaking etc.
Please note my timber Garage might have been built / repaired 20-30 years ago. See photos. Thanks

It looks like shed lining paper - sheets of thick paper with bitumen sticking them together.I don't know anywhere, other than an online marketplace perhaps, that would sell you a small quantity.P.s. It would help everybody, including yourself, if you kept to the one thread on your garage project. This must be the sixth or seventh you've created and each time some of the things people have already suggested have had to be repeated. E.g. the issue about splashback and damp.4

Ya bitumen paper as Section says.1

Yes as the others say, it is used as a water / damp barrier. I haven't seen it used for years though as it breaks down like yours, and can also trap moisture against the wood. I would rip it all off and find a more modern equivalent1
