Address not updated on Experian

Hi. I moved house last December and informed my banks, credit card providers, Council Tax, electoral roll, etc. accordingly, but now, some four months later, my old address is still showing on my Experian report. Do I need to take any action? How long should it take to update? And will this slightly outdated address have any negative effect in terms of credit searches, history, etc.?

When did you inform them all of your new address? If it was towards the end of December - most institutions only update the credit reference agencies once a month - so if you'd missed the December cutoff - I imagine it would have been sent at least by some of your account providers by the end of January - and then your free report updated by the end of February - but some organisations are a bit slow with updates. Do any of the accounts/electoral roll yet show your new address? Even just one of them?PlatinumChaos said:Hi. Yes, I moved mid-December and contacted the relevant bodies within a couple of days. They all seem to be showing the correct address. Maybe I just need to wait another month or two to give it a chance to get through to the CRAs before contacting anyone. Thanks Chris!0

So why do you need to contact them if all the addresses are correct on all of your accounts? Your old address will still be linked with you even if you don't live there anymore. CRA's keep records of where you lived as well as where you live. Or is it another error that you've spotted?

I'm having the same issue. I've even contact the local authorities to check my online application went through.
Credit Karma seems the be the only one out of the three to be showing my current address.0
