Did you already have bad credit from something else? It’s just that when you say the mortgage advisers told you that you needed a few years to let your credit get better, get better from what? You are right, a CCJ isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but what did you think was impacting on your ability to get a mortgage? I think that’s the bit you are likely to struggle with.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
Crediva is the smallest of the four major CRAs in the UK, most lenders do not use it, if they were just showing a CCJ then the majority of lenders would still have offered you a mortgage.
The fact that you did not query why you were not eligible for a mortgage with any of the "advisors" means you did nothing to mitigate any potential issues. On top of that you have no quantifiable losses, speculation about what you might have done is not a quantifiable loss. You might get some "shut up and go away" gesture of good will money, £50 or something in that region is the most to expect.1 -
Robbobss said:The ccj isn’t mine guys it has been proven via indentity checks by the credit reference agency that’s why they are saying they will take it off because it isn’t mine. And no the ccj only appears on crediva, the cc’d never appeared on any over file.So like I said the problem is with crediva not the courts.
that’s why I think the ombudsman should be sorting this out. I think the ombudsman b might have Mis interpreted my complaint as being against the courts and that’s why they have told me they can’t do anything
If not then do so as soon as possible.
If you have and they haven't corrected things to your satisfaction then to take it further you need the Information Commissioners Office
https://ico.org.uk
The financial ombudsman's remit does not cover Credit Reference Agencies so has no power to do anything.
