Cheapest public EV charging

Dear all,
I am fortunate enough to have an electric car with Elmo. However they recently stopped their charge card with BP offer which means I need to use public chargers (I live in a flat, so no cheap home charging). I have noticed that public charging varies in cost quite widely. I have also notice that a number of people have charge cards that invoice you. However I have noticed that the same chargers have wildly different prices depending on which card you usr.
For example on the Elmocharge card (powered by pauwa) charges 75p per kwh for shell chargers however the octopus card charges 55p per kwh. which card is the best balance between availability and price? Is there a winning combo which saves the maximum money?
Best wishes
Sean

No it’s an utter mess to get the best prices at different chargers. Focus on getting the best price on the chargers you use. The Octopus Card is free (there’s a £25 credit intro offer this month, DM me if you want my code, but get one off a friend). So there is no point not having one. I pay £8 a month for a Skoda Power pass which gives me access to Ionity at 35p per kWh, I could have gone for the BMW one at £12 a month and then it think it’s 29p per kWh. But Ionity is not everywhere (loads in France which is why I got it). Bonnet is another option.1

Have a look at the Elli drive Highway tariff - £13 a month gives good prices on quite a lot of different charging networks0

The cost varies by provider (as above ways to get some cheaper).
But will also vary depending on the type of charging you will be doing - i.e. fast, rapid as well as the connector you will be using (Type 2, CCs, chademo - for example ionity as mentioned above is CCS only I believe).
