No Contact From Seller

I won an item on 14 Dec and paid immediately with Paypal, hoping the seller would get the item in the post sharpish so I would get it in time for Christmas. The payment was showing as pending in the sellers account that night. It remained that way over the weekend. On Monday I sent a polite e-mail through the contact seller link. No reply. Again on Tuesday and Wednesday. The payment is still pending and the seller has made no contact. He has been active as some new items have been listed since the weekend. What should I do next.

Not much you can do (in short term) until he replies. Did you payment go through as an e-cheque perhaps?

Pull contact details and give them a ring?

Not an e-cheque, a straight credit card payment, the same as I use all the time. He is a newbie seller though.
  • i think the seller has a time limit to get your item posted after payment has been made (up to 7 days?!?)

It looks as though the payment has gone to an incorrect/old e-mail address - I had this recently. The payment will show pending but no e-mails will alert the seller unless he has access to the incorrect/old e-mail address.

The only way I got round it was to send an invoice directly from Paypal - I had kept my buyers fully informed though.

I have sent him mail through "contact seller" so that will go to his e-bay account. It is up to him to sort it out !!
  • it sounds to me like he's not got a premier account, and it is asking him to upgrade to accept CC payments, which he's not done yet.

His avoidance of your contact is poor, so pull his details and call him. I suspect he won't upgrade anyway so you're stuck until he rejects the payment (I can't recall if he can do that) or it's auto rejected.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

Just sent him another message telling him to contact me by tomorrow or I will cancel the payment and inform eBay. Peed off with him

Payment still showing as pending and no contact from seller. I have sent him a message telling him I have received it. Luckily for him I am honest. :A
