snoozer said:Hi everyone,
Gers, I always have a dunlopillo - very expensive but so comfy. All the kids use them as well and everyone who tries one loves them. I try to take them on holiday if we're not flying, I'm sure I get very funny looks carrying them into hotels.
As for near misses Steve has had a couple, he went through the King's Cross route where the fire was about half an hour before it started and he was on the tube train before the one that got blown up at Edgeware Road. I'll never forget trying to get hold of him and Laura who was also working in London on that morning.😃Snoozer - love that you take your pillow on holiday! I remember having a Dunlopillo many years ago but have no idea where it went to. This new one is from The Wool Room in their clearance sale so very MSE and has a '30 Night Sleep Trial - Guaranteed better sleep or your money back' so it's worth doing. Thanks Iris, my fingers are crossed again.

Morning all. Easter morphed into just another long weekend off when I stopped working shifts, because for twenty years before that, it didn't matter what day it was in the real world, in mine, I was working. Now, it's just another weekend when there are more people about so definitely stay in the house. Of course, having said that, I'm going out to get some veg as i only have potatoes. Going to stop off at the Italian deli on the way and get some sausages [fennel],cheese [parmesan] and biscuits [mulino bianco ones]. I picked up a heated propogator from freecycle this week and my tray of tomatoes/peppers fits in there, so they've gone in for a bathe in the heat. My cousin made some tuna stuffed little red peppers last year, they were so lovely I'm going to try to grow the peppers to do that this year. I'm not great with peppers though usually, it's never quite hot enough for more than one or two on a plant. Totally got distrated by reading about chatgpt4 then...And I did do some builder research and phone the architect yesterday, so job done and now speculative e-mails to send off. Thanks bella, I am really not looking forward to this, only the end result strangelyCoxy, have a lovely time traipsing round, good luck. Can you ask wherever you're stating to make up some lunch boxes or similar in case of shop closures? Ruby, good luck in advance of the works. TA, every time you say pie I want one
hope the garden stays sunny for you. snoozer, good to know about pillows, OH could do with a new one , he just destroys them. I laughed at taking it on holiday too. SHout out ot the mia, nanny, scarlet, rosy, chrisca, muddy, WL, Nels....take care all...

Hi all
Been MIA for a few days feeling sorry for myself with a lurgy! Think it's on its way out at last which will be a relief for tissue manufactures as I have been cracking through them by the box load.
Cleaner coming today which is good as the house is a bit messy. She will put clean bedding on so that will be good tonight.
Asda delivery arrived with a lovely bonus of a free bunch of flowers ....nice surprise.
Got some bits in for Easter but nothing much more really.
Tonight I'll have sausage butties with some fresh bread yum
Have a good Easter everyone x8 -
Thanks @Gers I knew there was a Tesco in Lockerbie but in England the shops are closed on Easter Sunday. I'm disappointed that the lovely independent cafe in Lockerbie will most likely be closed on Sunday - we had the loveliest coffee and breakfast in there last September.
Hope you're feeling better soon @Nelski xCross-stitch WIP: HSC Jingle Bells Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 09/25 Currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill7
