Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Air feels warmer this morning. Yesterday was a lovely sunny day although the wind was cold out of the sun.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO gammon, boiled egg, pork pie (menfolk), side salad, jacket potato. We'll be having chicken tonight.
Work was ok yesterday - wait to see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Bit of a damp start for us too @iris. I'm WFH today. Boss was meant to be on leave but SHTF yesterday at work so they are now working. My last work day until 19 April as I'm off back on my JoGLE hike from Saturday. This time Lockerbie to Lancaster
DS2 is home from uni for Easter tonight. We are having pork and apple burgers with sweet potato wedges and salad. Men will have brioche rolls with theirs.
Annoying about voucher-gate @bellabella - why is nothing ever simple?
Hugs to all the poorlies and have a good day all,

Morning all. It's dull outside with the promise of sunshine later. 🤞 Yesterday I de-tangled my problems from the other day when I my brain hiccuped. Days ago I ordered a new pillow which arrived in the afternoon. It's got a latex core and wool surround which seems a bit like the one by Dunlopillow (?) years ago. Last night it seemed OK so I'm hoping that I will keep it.Iris - enjoy your WI meeting.Coxy - your walking is fab. Perhaps you'll get a chance to do a quick visit to the Lockerbie memorial garden before you start off. It's 34 years since the bombing.I'm off to look for the Easter Bunny. 🐣 🥙Happy Thursday to all.9

Morning all
Raining here and quite cold I’m tucked under a blanket with the dog 😃 off to collect my client today and take him to work although the weather is not nice for working outside as we did yesterday.
Dinner tonight will be hot dogs in a bun with sw chips, will cut the potatoes this morning before I go. I’ve got an Asda delivery coming tonight as I got a £20 voucher from them it will save me going to the shops this week.
Tomorrow we shall start with the ripping out of the study and hallway first job is to get the horrible old tiles up from the study and the carpet from the hallway and stairs, then we can get the skirting boards and architrave off it’s going to be a long job but will be worth all the effort.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning folks and thanks nmlc. It was a mizzly start for us but, depending on which way you look, is now a bit brighter. No tripping out today so I suppose I had better do a bit of cleaning this morning. If It lives up to promise this afternoon I might manage a few more jobs in the front garden. (I am ignoring the back for now as there is nobody walking past that and looking at it in despair!))
Yesterday our trip to Skipton was a very soggy one with our brollies up most of the time. Still only half a market set up. We ate more pies for lunch and they were much enjoyed again! I have decided the rubbish eating must now stop and get back to some healthy eating. It's been too easy to comfort eat this winter. I am hoping the Easter Bunny brings me flowers rather than choccies this time!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Our numbers seem to be dwindling again. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Yes @Gers - I plan to visit the memorial on Sunday morning before we set off. DSis visited it last September as she had a day in Lockerbie whilst I walked from Moffat. I don't want to not see it as doubt I'll pass that way again. QQ are shops open on Easter Sunday in Scotland? Just thinking about food/drink supplies, TIA x

Morning everyone
Dull and drizzly here this morning. May be going out with DD and little one today..she hadn't decided yesterday. I grumble cos she doesn't like making plans but she says if she does then little one is usually ill so they get cancelled...which is a fair point.
Yesterday we had a lovely lunch out for my mams birthday then I took little one to the library and then to choose a new hula hoop. We weren't at the library as long as usual as there was a big family in with very noisy and badly behaved children...and an equally loud mum and gran who were letting them run wild! Little one kept saying 'you're not allowed to run in the library are you granny'.
Right I've got to have a look at my online banking and then I'll get dressed.
Hope everyone has a good day today x8 -

There's also a Morrisons in Dumfries, also open.In December 1988 I flew out of London Heathrow to Berlin, two planes ahead of the Pan Am one. I can vividly recall the horror of watching TV that day. 🥹7

Hi everyone,
Gers, I always have a dunlopillo - very expensive but so comfy. All the kids use them as well and everyone who tries one loves them. I try to take them on holiday if we're not flying, I'm sure I get very funny looks carrying them into hotels.
As for near misses Steve has had a couple, he went through the King's Cross route where the fire was about half an hour before it started and he was on the tube train before the one that got blown up at Edgeware Road. I'll never forget trying to get hold of him and Laura who was also working in London on that morning.
Family are off to Glasgow, Brian has already left in the car and Laura is flying up with the children this afternoon. They are only there till Tuesday and Laura really didn't want to have two seven hour plus journeys with the little ones.
We don't have any plans for the weekend as yet, apart from a quiz at Steve's golf club on Saturday evening, it's usually a good night.
Hugs for any of the poorly people.
Have a good day.9 -
