Instead of burying your head in the sand.

If you did it MIGHT improve your credibilty on this forum.

Now come on, he (she?) is just repeating the TT party line.
Unless you have an active BT line there isn't any other provider who will be able to offer you a service, not counting cable.
The fact that we know that statement's a lie doesn't mean he (she?) is going to risk his (her?) new job.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Though i would come on and put a spanner in the works!! :)

My mum has been with Talk Talk for just under 1 year now and the customer service is great, I told them so and got a rolling credit of £5 each month credited the account. Broadband speed is great, just over 4MB at peak times which is acceptable. Unlimited Calls to landlines at anytime.

Much better than BT's rip off charges!!

Keep up the good work TalkTalk and Well Done TalkTalk_Support for coming on the forum to help people out :)

It is always good to hear that there are some satisfied customers.

In view of the numerous complaints on these and other forums about Talktalks methods and service such as slamming people, hard and pressure selling at doors and giving incorrect information in order to get people to sign up with them, they may gain a little more respect when they start to treat customers properly.

In order to gain any credibility one expects someone coming on these forums representing the company to get his facts right before posting, or at least correct any posts and statements when it is pointed out to him that he is wrong.

Plus not being interested in moving customers, posting incorrect info on websites, charging for so called free broadband ,allowing xd numbers to appear in directories etc etc.
  • Don't take my post the wrong way, i was originally over charged and put on the incorrect package. This sort of !!!! up leads me to wonder what other problems i could have further down the road, and as a result i give companys one chance to rectify things (everyone deserves a chance, right?) so they have sorted the problem, and with some info from this thread i have secured a better deal. As a result, i'm happy and the customer care was quite good on this occasion. My broadband speed is 2mb, and although the BBmax is 6mb, i'm not 100% sure i should be getting it so 2mb is better than dial up, plus its free.
So my thanks to TT for resolving my problems, but that is the one and only chance used up, so next time i will be moving regardless of the costs.
