Mobile payment app called Satispay

I am curious to know whether anyone has experience of using this. I am staying at a hotel in Turin next week and have just found out that they don't accept debit or credit cards at all. One either has to use this payment app or do bank transfer/pay by cash. My other hotel in Bologna does take cards. I made the bookings through Booking.com which, if I failed to turn up, would charge to my credit card.

I've seen Satispay promoted here in Italy but never joined and used it myself so far. You may not find it easy or worthwhile to join, so for the one occasion it may be best to pay cash.

Thanks for mentioning the need for an Italian tax code which I don't have so I was right in thinking it wasn't worth looking at. Yesterday I withdrew more Euros so I could pay cash.
