Bay window flat roof replacement

Hello,

I just got a quote to repair the roof above my  upstairs bay window.

QUOTE 

Strip bay window flat roof back to plywood
Carry out all necessary repairs on the existing plywood/change if necessary
Install a new 3 layered torched on felt system
Install drip boards & felt flashings
Reinstate 2 row of tiles adjoining the flat roof once felt flashings have been applied
Carry out all necessary repairs

10 years guarantee included

£875

does that look like a good price?

    Not sure about the price, but I don't like felt, especially as this is the first floor and the warranty is, most likely, worthless. EPDM is better.

    No mention of insulation either. In the current climate, it is well worth putting extra insulation in even if it means raising the height of the roof slightly.

    Stripped back
    Extra insulation
    New boards + batons to create slight slope 
    New lead with decorative edging
    Pointing flashing
    3 men, long day
    Love living in a village in the country side

    thank you for this, that is a great info there, is EPDM much more expensive than felt?

    thank you for this, that is a great info there, is EPDM much more expensive than felt?
    In my area EPDM is £80 - £100 pm2 more for fleece back but that’s ott for a bay window, if laid correctly will last 25 years+.
     Definitely upgrade your insulation while you can
