I received a bank giro credit payment 7 days ago and it's still pending. How long will it take to clear?

Depends entirely on your bank. If it was a cheque, bear in mind there’s been a weekend and if it’s based on working days . . . Tried contacting them?1

It's something I get every 4 weeks but it's a bank giro credit this time.0

I usually find with Virgin Money and Nationwide my bank giro credits usually clear instantly or at least within 1-2 days, and that's my employer depositing my pay. However, cheques etc show as different on my account and take a little longer to process. The time required can vary per bank, so I'd check with them and ensure there are no issues if it's taking longer. A simple phone call can fix it for you.0
