But it is at least a non co2 emissions system - at the home anyway.
The other problem is the OP hasn't really clarified when his system is using the SR electric.0 -

If you mean an electric boiler running wet rads, then I don't see how that is suitable for E10? Both E7 and E10 are intended for night storage heaters, which are by definition not 'central heating'.
Do you already have legacy E10 metering with 2 MPAN's?
Just heats water to heat air, rather than direct to air via nsh.
Still provides a peak time heating to off peak rate charging cost shift.1 -
Felt I ought to respond to this even though rather late. I have a GEC Nightstor 100 which stores a maximum of 100 kWh overnight. They need a 3 phase supply but use only 2 phases with a max input power of 9kW on each of the two phases so out of 7 hrs on E7 you could use 2 x 9kW per hour, so you only need just under 6 hrs of "charging" at night to reach maximum charge (bricks are at approaching 900 deg C)
Mine is 35 yrs old and is still working the same now as it did the day it was put in
You need to adjust the heat stored for the time of year. They're ot made now but spares and service are available. They don't need mutch. I could say a lot more but it might get boring. Something pretty much identical is made by Tepeo. Have a look0
