Ebay Items - Can you mention it is listed Elsewhere ?

Does anyone know if you are allowed to mention in the description that an item is listed elsewhere when selling on ebay - not mentioning the specific site but that it is available elsewhere and maybe the reason if the auction ends early?I have asked live help in Ebay but was given conflicting advice .
when selling I list items slightly cheaper on sites like Gumtree / facebook due to the lack of fees and normally the items are collected.
On ebay I do get quite a few messages from buyers asking to view the item before they purchase ( normally musical instruments ) but as you probably aware ebay policy is that they have to win the item before viewing and if not happy with it cancel the purchase which a lot of buyers are unwilling to do .
Thanks

Absolutely not, somewhere in the T and Cs of ebay it says the item must be available only to ebay, it isn't really enforced anymore but best not to put yourself on the radar.
By all means cross post, I occasionally do myself but make sure you are available to take it off ebay as soon as it sells somewhere else otherwise you'll potentially end up selling it twice which is just going to cause problems.
Anything can be removed from ebay at any point, so there is no issue in doing that *unless* you have had messages about it and ebay bots think you have removed it for selling off ebay . If you haven't had messages and have no bids then item can be removed without penalty . If you do have bids then you will pay FVFs to the value of the highest bid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Cynical me thinks what are the chances than someone will report the listing to get it taken down and then
offer to buy it on the other platform at a reduced price?
What if someone buys right after you sell it elsewhere? Buyer pays so they can leave negative feedback and
reports you to ebay. Only time I have listed as advertised elsewhere was when selling a car but that was
a long time ago before they clamped down on messages and selling outside ebay.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
