Would you recommend a pea shingle drain to help with the damp issue?

That airbrick is nothing to do with the floor, it looks like a vent for the bathroom

What is that plate just above the paving ?

Damp is creeping up the render, rain splashing off the paving bins making it worse

I’m not sure what it is, I assumed some kind of vent.

A pea shingle drain would normally go between paving and wall but you have no space to do that

That is not a vent but it maybe a plate covering a vent. It's in the right position. Maybe the plasterer put a piece of tile over the vent when he was working and forgot to take it off ?

If your damp is inside where the wall on the outside is rendered below the DPC then that is the problem, the DPC is not doing the job it's meant to do.

I should point out the damp is coming from the side of the property where I have a pathway and the walk is pebbledashed. It was suggested I have a pea shingle drainage system created going alongside the path against the wall to lower the ground level.

I’ve read some conflicting opinions on the ‘French’ drain

Thanks for answering my questions, much appreciated.
