  • Quick query for any veteran STP-ers. After a scout room closes do all the artists you've tipped disappear? I don't mean unused tips, I know they go, but does your list of bands tipped stay? I'm kind of using that as my favourites list, so want to back it up if it is going to go, and I haven't been around there when the rooms have changed over. Thanks!!

Ahem not that im a veteran just a girlt hats been on there since nov 3 stars reviewed 909 tracks with 92 percent accuracy (in fact i was even in the top ten uk scouts) but thats wont be for long lol

anyway, your watch list (where you put all the bands you like and then tip) stays the same
I have around 5 pages of bands that ive tipped and added from the previous two scout rooms and this one, sometimes i do a clear out

But you should be fine mine havent moved or gone at all they all stay in my music list
    Hope this helps

    x sammi :D
  • good glad to hear that, and I have seen you on the top 10 (yay you!) in fact most of my STP knowledge has come from this thread, so I've been benefiting a lot from your expertise!!! ta! :D

  • £10 for mine :-(
lol i told my mum (she knows about my efforts to be debt free)
I'm scouting now, i just went down to get a cup of tea and she was like sammi, get up those stairs now or youll never meet your target :-)
  • ha ha, i need the loo but have kind of got pulled in! Did a bit earlier and am about 70p off a tenner, so am going to try and reach 15 quid tonight and then that's £10 done today. Was telling my mum about it earlier but she didn't quite click with the concept, especially the pay scales! I know it's not exactly a great hourly rate, but it's getting paid when I'd be sitting on my backside surfing the net anyway, and if I was doing that I'd be listening to music too!!

  • I'm the same
I spend so much time on the net too, so i just open the page up with this one and write as i go

I dont know if anyone else does the same,I know that the terms and conditions say you cant copy and paste your reviews

But i do, not that i use the same one,More that i have notepad open and instead of waiting 60 seconds then writing my review
I write in notepad as the 60 seconds are playing then copy and paste when the player allows me too, purely because i find that if i wait 60 seconds then write ive forgotten the intro etc

I dont know if anyone else does it that way ?

Have discovered slicethepie today and can't believer you can get paid to listen to music!

I've done 10 reviews so far and my scouting profile now says 'Tips available - 1'. Can anyone tell me what that means?

I might join you all and try and earn £30 this month. I teach full time which means back to work on Monday and lots of books to mark etc but will see what I can fit in.

    Thanks!! :j
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...
  • Yeah I do, but as it's just kicked me out of the scout rooms I've re-read the ts and cs before going in and it actually says:

Copy and pasting of review comments is not permitted. The system administrators make regular comparisons of reviews to determine if any scout is reusing the same or similar comments in their reviews. If this occurs, it may result in the Scout being barred from further scouting.

Whcih I read as you can't have a set of stock reviews that you keep copy and pasting into review boxes, not that you can't copy and paste a different review each time which is what I do. Otherwise, like you the beginning would go completely out of my head!

  • Thats what i thought too so i assume its ok
so long as you dont have one review that you give to like ten people
I always delete after copying pasting so i can start afresh with each new track, new ideas and opinions etc
