Anyone been to Tirana, Pristina, Podgorica?

Yeah I think I'll just give anything bordering Russia a swerve for now - I don't think I'll have anything lined up now for a month or two as flights etc are generally too expensive in the summer months. Once autumn swings round I'll have a look at what I'm in the mood for - flights to Nairobi look cheap and I've got quite the fancy to see Kenya so that might be the next trip.0

tightauldgit said:So just for completeness, the last leg of the trip was to Pristina which is nice enough but to be honest there wasn't really very much there of interest for me. It seemed like what I guess it is, a reasonably smallish regional city which has suddenly become an international capital city through circumstances.
Not to say there's anything wrong with it, it's a nice enough town with a nice little centre and the people all seemed very welcoming so it's worth a visit but I'd say it's probably a place you would pass through between two other places or you maybe take a day/overnight trip from Albania or North Macedonia or wherever.
There was no sign of any danger or disturbances while I was there and I don't think I saw a soldier or barely a police officer in my few days there. Absolutely felt safe wandering around even at night time,
Still that's another one ticked off the list of countries have to have to a think about what's next on the itinerary - I think the one I haven't done yet that I am quite keen to is Slovenia as I've heard it's lovely. I've still got the principalities to check off and then the ones that honestly seem a bit less appealing like Belarus, Moldova and Serbia.
Moldova is also relatively clean, but the security situation is tense as we have discussed already. It is also the lease visited country in Europe.
Serbia is a bit of a double edged sword politically. There are anti-government protests today, but I have a friend who was based there for about a month (last month) who didn't complain about anything.💙💛 💔0
