Passage of Information law?

Just had a call from telemarketers who cited something called the "Passage of Information Law". 
I've never heard of it. 
Has anyone else?

    Never heard of it - perhaps they mean GDPR.
    More likely the whole thing was a scam so hopefully you just hung up and now block the number.

    No. What jurisdiction were they calling from? From a quick search it appears to exist in Ghana....

    Yeah, I thought that but no, they were very specific - "Passage of Information". 
    And yes, I called a halt to the conversation at that point!

    It was a company selling solar panels (my tea was too hot to drink so I thought I'd enjoy myself for a few minutes!) 
    The context was in relation to survey that's needed - they'd only visit when both me and my wife were present due to "the passage of information" law!
