Can anyone recommend a good place to buy reasonably priced wooden blinds?

We’re looking to get blinds for at least the front windows of our house. The quotes I’ve got online are all over the place, ranging from just over a hundred per window to close to a thousand.

The windows are both roughly 250x135cm.

    We ordered from here.......

and have been happy with the result.

Your windows are wide, so you will need at  least 2 blinds to each window, maybe more depending on the style of the windows.    A wide wooden blind would be very heavy and difficult to pull up, so good to use 2 or more narrower ones.

    Thousand?!
My 140cm wide wooden blinds were bought in IKEA 20 years ago and were certainly well below £100.

We got (not wooden) blinds for this house from Dunelm. Blackout roller blinds and vertical ones. V good and while not cheap they weren't a grand! :o

I hadn't thought about this. Yes, our window is split into three, so would make sense to have three smaller blinds.

The only place I found that would do blinds wide enough for my window (244 cm) was Terry’s Blinds. Havent ordered yet, but I like the samples sent.
  • I'm another in praise of Blinds4You | Made to Measure Blinds | Buy Today

and Blinds 2go | Designer Window Blinds For YOUR Home (blinds-2go.co.uk)

I've used both and found them to have excellent pricing aswell as selection - all types of blinds - i've always bought conservatory or verticals, always blackout material in cream colour.

Oh, I totally understand! Getting blinds for your front windows can really make a difference in terms of privacy and controlling the amount of sunlight coming in. It sounds like you've done your research online, but it can be quite overwhelming to see such a wide range of quotes. Considering the size of your windows (approximately 250x135cm), it's important to find blinds that fit perfectly and complement your house's aesthetics. I'd suggest exploring different options and looking for reputable suppliers who offer good quality blinds at a reasonable price. That way, you can strike the right balance between cost and value for your windows.

Another 👍 for this site - you’re responsible for the measuring though, so make sure you measure it at least twice and in 3 different widths of the window!
