Hi,
I am helping to run a mass event of 10,000 people in central London in June and I am looking for some prizes. So far I have been successful with:
Arsenal FC
Genesis Cinema
BFI
BrewDog
The Real Greek
Lucky Voice
Cable Car
Kempton Racecourse
Guildford Flames Ice Hockey
Ampthill Alchemist Fragrances
I would love to know other firms (national or in London) who have supported your events, and the best method of communication.
Thank you,
Curt

Looks like you've done well so far.
For communication, best is likely an e-mail detailing exactly what you want to do and what it's supporting, preferably sent to those who will support that event. Include a phone number as many (myself included) hate dealing with someone by e-mail.
I won't personally get involved with or donate to something of this nature (meaning large events in general) that I don't personally feel a close connection with, so make sure you research carefully anyone, especially smaller businesses, that you are writing to. Without a lot more information than above, it would be a polite but firm 'no thank you' from me.
Many companies over a certain (normally quite small) size, my own included, have a small community fund, however it is generally allocated very soon into the year, save for some specific client requests which we will find the budget for throughout the year, so timing can be essential too.💙💛 💔1
