Hi I understand that WTC ends after 28 weeks sickness with a 4 week roll on. And CTC will continue. I am going to apply for ESA Contribution based which is £77 a week which is a taxable benefit so I need to inform HMRC about.
My question is that when I tell HMRC that I have started claiming ESA Contribution do I do the calculation for them as a estimate £77×4×12 or will DWP tell them on a monthly basis? A bit confused could someone advise.
Income from employment for tax year 6th April 2022 to 5th April 2023 is £13200.

You need to tell HMRC. With the benefits increase from 10th April ESA will increase to £84.80/week. If placed into the Support Group your ESA will increase to £129.50/week from the 14th week of your claim.
