Unsure as to when I am will be re-assessed for PIP.

Hi there folks,

I was awarded PIP mobility in 2018 but was one point short of daily care component. I then received a letter in January 21 saying that because of Covid my award was now extended to march 2025.

Fast forward to 2022 and because of a court decision regarding one of the descriptors in daily care, I asked for this to be looked at it again. The original daily care was overturned and I received back money and was told in letter that the award was to march 2025.

It also stated on the letter that they could write to me again after december 2023 so I am a bit confused as to what date I am  to be re-assed, Am I definitely going to get the award to march 2025 or will they write after december 2023 and be re-assessed before the later date?

They look to review you in the year before an award ends... but everything seems a bit of a mess. That said I would suggest most likely you'll be contacted around summer 2024... but don't hold me to it.. you could be reviewed at any time.

The award ending in March 2025 means they will need to send out the forms to reassess you before that, with enough time for them to get to your case and make a decision before your current award runs out. 

Otherwise if they didn't make a decision until after your current award ends, you'd be stuck without anything in that gap whilst waiting for a new decision.
