Hello,
I purchased some garden furniture from B@Q last may and it's developed a crack in the same place on all chairs. Do B@Q have a guarantee period? Am I within my rights to demand a replacement or atleast replacement parts?

Unless they came with a warranty/guarantee, no. After this long, the best thing to do is to ask B&Q. They may help, but they're entitled to ask you to have the chairs inspected. It does sound as if there's a fundamental flaw, given it's occurred on all of the chairs, so probably something worth pursuing. B&Q would be compelled to provide a partial refund, replacements or repairs. Their choice.0

What do B&Q say about any guarantee.
Given it may well be different between any ranges they sell.

I know the manufacturer give a 2 year warranty but they are useless and never reply etc.

It is covered by consumer rights, but after this long that doesn’t mean you're entitled to an immediate resolution with no questions asked. B&Q may help immediately, but they're entitled to ask you to have them independently inspected. That's if you're exercising consumer rights. If you elect to go down the warranty route, your options will be whatever is described in the terms.1

Better to better to be polite and ask rather than demand.0
