Hi, I have been with Virgin Media for a long time but feel that I am paying over the odds for what I am getting, and they are hiking their prices. My current package is M250 broadband with Talk weekend not required but part of package) and I am paying £35 per month... soon to increase.
I only need decent Broadband for working from home and for teenage son's gaming. I have freeview TV which I am happy with, supplemented by Netflix & Amazon Prime.
I am looking for recommendations from people who have successfully moved away from Virgin Media and recieved decent broadband - its a minefield out there and very confusing!

Put your notice and you'll get offered a decent deal. No need to move.1

As above, ring them up using 150 and thinking of leaving us option. You’ll get an automated announcement reducing your price increase, ignore that and get through to a real person. Explain you can’t afford the price increase, they will then offer you a deal for remaining months of your contract. If you’re still not happy with that, put your 30 day notice in to cancel services. Make sure your marketing pretences in your My Virgin Media account are set so they can contact you, and you should (should) then get a call back with another offer from them trying to make you stay. After cancellation notice the offer should be in low £20s for that I would have thought0

You're paying way too much for the BB right now anyway, they may have a lower price if you accept VM TV as well.0 -
