I'm unclear what your question is.

To clarify - are you saying that your wife, having been awarded PIP on the 22nd March 2023, has received a renewal form within a fortnight ?

If this is the case, I'd be seeking clarification from PIP on why this is, and if the renewal form may have been send in error.
Make and keep a note of the date / time / name of the call handler, etc and the outcome.

Very odd, the award letter usually arrives after the first full monthly payment so definitely get hold of them and find out why the review form has already been received? Could be the review dates have been input incorrectly on their systems or some sort of other error.

Something has potentially gone wrong then so do give them a ring , doesn’t sound right at all.

Yes... the 'light' touch review maximum award. Would kill for one..lol

As above... sounds like been some timing error here.... call them up (good luck getting through!) and query why the review was sent given the award.

I know it happens but its not the norm.  Unless you have a long term condition that is unlikely to improve, or unless they have finally seen sense and start awarding longer periods.

They don't always give a award length for the 10 year awards, instead they state 'for an ongoing period'   '

They are actually 'ongoing' PIP awards with no end date set, but with a 'light-touch' review every 10 years.
So it's just a shorthand to call them 10-year-awards.
They are awarding more of them nowadays than they used to do.
(That seems to be because they were brought more to the assessors/DMs attention when all PIP awards for those over state pension age were made 'ongoing' in 2019, before that they were seen as something very unusual and so not really considered by the assessors/DMs).
