Hi all.

'Been asked to look at a faulty one of these. I find it 'chirps' quietly when I place my hand under it, close to the casing. So, it's getting power.

I'm quite prepared to remove it and open it up to try and effect a cheap repair for the owner - a local yoof group - but wondered if anyone had any knowledge of these, and what to look for?

Thanks.

    Thank you, KM.
Yes, I'd seen that, and if the repair needs to go that far it'll be beyond my ken. :-)

The 'blade' in question here is the 'V' type, and I was hoping that someone would happen to have some knowledge of them. Very little on the interweb.

I got fed up watching the video. He decided early on that it was a problem with the IR sensors, so why spend ages disassembling the motor?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Got to admire your commitment to this forum, GDB

Anyhoo, I think the issue was with the motor PCB (or was that in another looking vid I watched.... )

There’s a TV programme where one of the ex Top Gear chaps takes things apart. I watched most of an episode. It’s quite fun watching people working.

I’ve taken to my bed as I have a bit of a chest infection, so I am feeling a bit at a loose end at the moment.

All the best, GDB, but meanwhile take full advantage

Yes, James May - the only decent bloke in that trio. (Tho' C is genuinely funny). Yup, watched a few of those - very pleasing.
