Your current UC will be reduced depending on your earnings. Generally for every £ you earn UC will reduce by 55p.
If you have a 'Work Allowance' in UC (you probably do if you have a child) then you can earn so much before that 55p starts to be taken off.
The amount of that Work Allowance depends on if UC is paying Housing Element for your rent or not.
See: https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/earnings-taper-universal-creditI'm not sure if you mean Carers Allowance or UC Carer Element?
If it's Carers Allowance then that will stop when you start working (Tell UC when it has stopped so that the CA payment will stop being decucted from your UC).But UC Carer Element should continue to be paid.
(You are getting UC Carer Element? It's automatic if you get CA but you have to tell UC that you have CA. Even when they deduct money for CA they don't automatically join the dots and pay UC CE).
Note though that they may want to discuss if/how you are still caring for 35 hours a week when you are also working 40 hours. That doesn't always happen but it's something to be aware of.Child Benefit will not be affected. No, you can't claim Tax Credits because you are already claiming UC, which replaces Tax Credits.

OP - you must let Carers' Allowance about the work to stop it because you are going to be earn too much.Newcad said:Your Carers Allowance will stop when you start working
As Newcad says you can still get the carer element include in the UC calculation if you are still doing 35 hours of care.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
