Natwest reward joint account

Hi,
In the weekly MSE email which went out on 14 march one of the headline topics was the natwest/rbs reward joint account with which couples could get £400 (200 each) for switching one current account each to the Natwest/RBS account.
This sounded great so I started the process of opening a "burner" current account which I could switch from (because I didn't want to lose my current account for various reasons). I'm now ready to do the switch but looking at the natwest site it seems to me they've changed the deal.and they only offer 200 per couple, not 400.
Can anyone tell me if this is the case or am I misunderstanding it? Thanks.

You are misunderstanding it, when the email mentioned couples it meant to do the switches individually, so you would both get £200. so you are best doing the switch for yourself and then another switch for your partner to get the £400.2
