Halifax switch query

Hi all,
I currently bank with Santander and I was hoping to take advantage of the current Halifax switch offer (only one I'm still eligible for).
I currently have a clarity card with them but when I logged in I can see that I have an old current account that is unused but still open.
Checking credit karma shows it was opened in 2011!
My online banking gives the opportunity to upgrade the account to a reward account.
My question is, will I be able to switch my existing account with Santander to it this way or will I miss out on the switch bonus?
TIA

You can switch to that old account, yes, but if it's not already a Reward account, or an Ultimate Rewards account, you'll have to upgrade it to one of those first. The switching bonus doesn't apply if you switch to any other type of Halifax current account.0
