Hi
Had an email this morning from So Energy. Telling me my Direct Debit was going up from, £91 to £143. per month.
bearing in mind I'm £144 in Credit. I'm wondering if I would benefit from a Pre Pay Meter. I don't use much electricity or Gas.
Think that's why I'm always in Credit.

Why don't youjust  contact the supplier to find out the basis on which they want to hike your DD so much when you are in credit? At this time of year on a fixed DD you'd expect to be in debt coming out of a winter quarter.
You soon won't have to pay any more fin unit charges for a PPM, but you will have to PAYG and have the inconvenience of topping up. You'll also need the meter switching, unless you have smart meters, and this is chargeable.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Thanks for the reply.
I've emailed the company explaining my position hoping to hear back from them.
The pre pay question as just to know what my options were .

They never let you get into a minus situation.
