... and to second re the probiotics. Every time one takes antibiotics one also needs to take probiotics - as the antibiotics kill off the beneficial bacteria in your body, as well as the bad ones. Voice of experience here.....I finally stopped getting bouts of thrush when I took probiotics with the medicine the doctor gave me.

there are different types of probiotics. Some better in the large intestine and some better in the small intestine and others which are transient like bulgaricus but which help the acidilphus and bifidum do their work. My study of them has been/is very interesting. It is best to get a good brand and not a cheaper brand when some company has jumped on the bandwagon and used a cheaper, less effective strain.
