Technically I haven't seen it in a shop, but hot cross bun mayo is certainly bizarre!

Tesco have Cheese and Caramelised Onion Chutney Hot Cross Buns.

I agree with pumpkin89. That's a great sounding combination, and I would give them a home in my tummy.
I do remember having a slice of cheese, or a dollop of a good cream cheese in hot cross bun, to cut the sweetness but not with pickle.

I suppose I'm a traditionalist where hot cross buns are concerned and don't go for all this 'gilding the lily'.

I agree @Cloth_of_Gold but the banoffee pie hot cross buns sound yummy.

I quite like the look of this! But judging by the price of the YS BLT HCB, won't be going out of my way to buy the product.
