Technically I haven't seen it in a shop, but hot cross bun mayo is certainly bizarre!

Spotted at the cheese counter in Morrisons today: chocolate and orange flavoured white Stilton 250g, shaped like a yellow Easter egg,No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I agree with pumpkin89. That's a great sounding combination, and I would give them a home in my tummy.
I do remember having a slice of cheese, or a dollop of a good cream cheese in hot cross bun, to cut the sweetness but not with pickle.0 -
I suppose I'm a traditionalist where hot cross buns are concerned and don't go for all this 'gilding the lily'.
