Does anyone find it to be so disturbing that you can apply for multiple credit products and never ever get asked for an ID?

It could be you have been electronically verified ~ https://www.smartsearch.com/resources/help-centre/glossary/electronic-identity-verification
This is pretty standard now, and if you don't pass, you would then be asked for identification documentsIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Check your credit reports, bound to be searches related to the credit applications made.1

The prospective lender passes all the information you have given them to a CRA and they use their data and fuzzy logic to return a probability match against who is on file plus the associated history. Ultimately the decision comes down to the lender but it can deal with you saying your name is "Rob" when you have previously listed your name as "Robert" etc
Of the services on offer, its one of the least disturbing0 -

It would be more disturbing if you were asked for ID, as it means you're at firmly at the dodgy end of the risk spectrum.1 -
It would be more disturbing if you were asked for ID, as it means you're at firmly at the dodgy end of the risk spectrum.I gave it a second thought all I needed was my name, dob, address and some employment history to get £4k credit card not even one lender but 3, I have managed to get over 11k in credit with just that ?I appreciate everyone input though but I will be leaving a notice of correction on my credit file to ask for ID from now0 -

In that case, pay for a protective CIFAS marker so that automated acceptance doesn't happen and further checks are made.
Don't do it via a Notice of Correction, or you're more likely to simply get declined.2 -

You could easily find out name, address, DOB about someone, and even who they bank with, but would be very difficult to know exactly how long they have banked with such institution.1
