Garden has become a cat litter

Littlemoney, I've cat proofed my back garden in self defence. When I moved in my neighbour had 2 cats who had had free run of my garden for over a year. When her fence blew down the cats came in and she was standing watching as they pooped on my new veg bed.It was a real standoff for a while but they showed me the loopholes and eventually I won. Didn't cost much either. The front garden is another matter. Neighbour ignores the cat poop on my lawn. If she just popped over with a bucket and shovel every couple of days that would be fine.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Unfortunately there is no way I could afford to cat proof my back garden. One side the fence is just 4 rows of wire and then their conifer hedge so unrestricted cat access. Last week I caught a cat in the act in the middle of a heather bed.0

I've 3 cats, and dug out a new veg patch. Their eyes lit up at their new commode.
I had a small patch of pea gravel under a bush which they had previously used. I've also just made a small shelter out of old shelving and a bit of roof felt and stuck a tray with litter in it.
They still attracted to the fresh vag patch so I've had to stick chicken wire own until the plants become established. Cats will get used to the new shelter. Never had a drama with them leaving presents on grass since I left better options for them. I also feel more confident letting them out as less likely to !!!!!! in neighbours gardens.
Not suggesting that people leave litter trays out for random cats, but if owners leave easy options for the cats to use, they will use it.
