Wren kitchen installation nightmare

Hi guys
I’m doing my kitchen at the moment and I’m having a lot of issues with the company that’s doing it.
we are paying nearly £4k for the installation and we were quoted another £4k for the extra work (plumbing, plastering, electric works…) because we thought it was a lot we asked them to do just the essentials and the plumbing and we requested another quote for this.

The guy from the installation company was very rude with me when I told him and told me that their electrician was very good and we’ll have problems if we didn’t go with them.
They were charging us £1200 for the electrics and we ended up paying £600 with another company because they wanted to change all the sockets we didn’t need just because they don’t like our sockets.
Okay since then they’ve been very rude to us every time we ask for something and they’ve been complaining about every socket saying it’s too high or too low or it’s 2cm to the left and it’s supposed to be X cm from here…
My problem is that they’re still saying they’re too busy to give me a quote. They said it was going to be between £500 and £600 but I don’t have a quote so I’m very worried they’re going to say the last day that they found extra work and it’s now a lot more. They also said that they only want cash and I’m worried if I pay them in cash and without a quote if we have issues they’ll say they haven’t done that job.
What can I do? Should I speak again with them or with Wren?
Thanks

Why would Wren get involved? did they provide the installer? It sounds as if you chose the installer as you did with the plumber so you need to speak to the installer0

They did chose the installer.
When you buy a kitchen from Wren and buy the installation they choose the installer and you can only choose the company for the extra works the kitchen needs.
We didn’t go with them for the electrics but we decided to go with them for plumbing to make the installation smoother.

My friend makes a good living at putting right badly installed wren kitchens. He used to have his own kitchen business but makes more more money doing this now and has plenty of work3

Definitely don't pay cash and neither without a quote.
Have they started work yet?
Have you spoken to Wren about this? They chose this installer. Perhaps be sweet and polite and say you haven't yet got a quote, not happy about paying cash and could they recommend anyone else.
Play the reasonable and innocent but persistent so as not to store up trouble.
It doesn't sound like eityer of you will get on well further down the line.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
