Initially an almost blank page comes up, it just has "Chat to us" as a heading, then within a few tenths of a second a "Please wait... Loading..." message comes up which then disappears, usually within another few tenths of a second, leaving a page with "Chat to us" at the top and the "Under testing" text below.
Occasionally the loading message will show for a second or two, but it always ends with the "Under testing" text.
It seems to me that either Mrs Notepad is very unlucky or more likely there's something about her tablet that Chat dislikes. She's managed to get every other regular saver closed, so it's not too much of an inconvenience to let this one run out (especially as she's moved everything out of it), but I doubt she'll ever open another TSB account again.

What happens when Mrs Notepad tries to access chat? On my phone (android 12, app ver 7.3.1) the chat page loads, displays connecting and within a couple of seconds it's waiting for me to type in my question.1

Are people still experiencing this issue? I am trying since days to get to chat. Homepage sends you to the app and in the app you get told it is "Under Testing" and they are limiting use while they prepare to launch to everyone.
Rather poor show of TSB and not really have the time to wait ages to get through to somebody on the phone.0 -
