Spark Energy/ SSE debt collection
I have received an email from JC International Acquisition, threatening me with court claiming I owe Spark energy an outstanding balance of £204.48, the creditor name on the file is SSE Energy Services however.
This was actually paid to Credit resource solutions back in November 2020 straight away after I left Spark.
I have sent proof of the cleared balance from them to JC international and tried to call them but apparently they have a system issue and can't talk to me 'right now'.
I have also called SSE Energy Services who can't even find me on their system (So who actually thinks I owe them the money?).
Credit resource solutions have agreed to email them and notify them that the balance was cleared.
I don't understand why they are hounding me now if I am not even on the system at SSE Energy services, threatening me with court and issues on my credit file.
If this can't be cleared up maybe I should let them take it to court? It's their time and money they're wasting.
I should also point out that when the account closed I hade 3 or 4 different companies chasing me for the balance.
Anyone else have this rinse and repeat rubbish too?

The debt will not be in SSE's systems because they will have sold it on. Why were there so many companies chasing you, was there an issue at the time, or merely because you left Spark that the point that they ceased trading?BailitisT said:I have received an email from JC International Acquisition, threatening me with court claiming I owe Spark energy an outstanding balance of £204.48, the creditor name on the file is SSE Energy Services however.

You could send them a prove-it letter, or you could just wait for their next step after you confirmed to them that you ha paid them in 2020.0 -
Thanks for responding, yes it was as they ceased trading, I believe the same thing happened to a lot of people who left them. I have sent them the closing email from the company I paid the balance to but they haven't responded to tha temail but keep sending me emails asking for all of the information. I'll call today and clear it all up. I have so enjoyed wasting time with them!MattMattMattUK said:
