I logged on to Yahoo mail mid afternoon.
Since then, about every hour, I have received the same verification code by text. (I wasn't trying to login).
I have just now tried to login again, and I get sent the same verification code, and this fails.
Is there some reset I should do, so that I can get back into my email?
Is the resending of the code an indication that I have somehow been hacked?

Check the date and time on your computer/phone. The verification code may be time specific. The change in the UK from GMT to BST might have upset it. If this works, please post an update here in case it helps others. (I use Yahoo Mail and am not having any problems at the moment). The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

The laptop and phone both have the same time.
But the problem is that I keep getting unasked for codes from Yahoo.
It got even more confusing this morning.
There are now 3 text threads giving me verification codes.
Strangely, they have different headings, Verify, YahooMSG, and Yahoo.
The first has over a dozen codes, all the same, being the code I was last able to login with.
The other two thread have a mixture of code sends.
If Yahoo is working fine, then it suggests a problem with my phone.
Last night, I reset the phone, and also turned off/on, but still could not login (or stop the codes coming).
Does this suggest it is a problem with the message app?
I found a screen for the Message app with a button for Force Stop, but when I clicked this, it warned against this.
I don't want to reinstall the app as I would lose all the messages there.
Is there anything else I can check?

As I was now getting different values for the code, I decided to try logging in again, with success.
And since then, the unasked for codes have no longer been sent.
I still have a nagging feeling, though, that the codes were generated because someone was trying to hack into my account.0 -
Unless there was some kind of system failure, the codes would indeed be sent because of a login attempt.0

Check your passwords haven't been leaked by using https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and you can check individual passwords here https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords
Since your email is the key to your other accounts it should have a unique password.Glad the texts have stopped 😀0
